The METLER-Toledo Thermal Analysis System allows for simultaneous thermographic and differential thermal analyses as well as differential scanning calorimetry. These capabilities are required to study phase changes of liquid crystals, drugs, catalysts and polymers between 80°C and 500°C as well as between ambient and 1500°C (clays/alloys), under high pressure and under inert atmosphere (generated by the nitrogen gas generator) in a glove box. The calorimeter accessory allows for the detection of the influence of light on many types of materials and for us, especially, photodynamic cancer drugs. It is the instrument of choice to investigate oxidation processes and to evaluate heterogeneous catalysts in heterogeneous catalytic processes.
