The Instron tensile testers can test all types of material samples in tensile and compressive modes. Many mechanical properties of a material may be investigated, such as the elastic modulus, tensile or compressive strength, yield strength, and flexural modulus. In addition, different fixation jaws (i.e. four-point-bending) may be used for different types of testing. With a 150kN load cell, the rates of testing may be adjusted to monitor time-dependent deformations.
