Micro Focus X-ray Radiography/ Tomography System
The equipment entails a dedicated imaging system utilising penetrating X-rays generated by the system. The penetrating radiation passes through a sample under investigation and is detected by a 2D array detector. The camera sends the captured image (radiograph) to a PC hard drive for storage. Many radiographs at different angles of the sample is generated, stored and reconstructed to generate a tomogram-a 3D virtual image of the sample under investigation.
