LPKF ProtoLaser: Cadshop

The ProtoLaser S by LPKF uses a high-powered laser to cut away the copper on a printed circuit board (PCB) which is used in the manufacture of electronic circuits. It can produce gaps and track widths as narrow as 50µm (2 mil) or 25 µm (1 mil) on ceramic substrates. In comparison, the most accurate PCB etching processes are limited to about 5 mil (0.125mm) track widths and gaps.
