Mass Spectrometry is a critical tool in structure elucidation of unknown compounds. The instrument is fitted with Photo diode array detector, Evaporative light scattering detector, fluorescence detector and ultra-performance liquid chromatograph. It has the ability to do ion mobility which is a tool to distinguish between structure isomers. The instrument is a high resolution mass spectrometer that is used for accurate mass determinations to aid in structure elucidation. It also has a MS functionality which is used to perform multiple fragmentations simultaneously.
