Analytik Jena AG Multi N/C 3100 (CHU) BU Analyser

The Multi NC 3100 is a spectrometer designed to take a variety of Carbon and Nitrogen measurements biologically bound. The multi N/C analyser is designed for measurement of TOC, NPOC, TC, TIC, POC and TNb in water samples. It can be used for measurement of parameters from water with a high content of particles, hard to oxidize compounds and salt load. Detection of dissolved CO2 by Focus Radiation NDIR detector - (FR-NDIR) gives accurate reproducible results. The analyser can be used for liquids, slurries and solid sample analysis. The multi N/C analyser will be used to give essential information regarding the carbon and bound nitrogen constituents of microalagal cells. The primary requirements for algal growth are light, carbon and nitrogen. The basis of many of the studies carried out requires the optimisation of these factors in the appropriate ratios for efficient lipid production, protein and other carotenoid production and CO2 sequestration . The multi N/C analyser will provide this essential information and allow optimisation to levels that would not otherwise be able to achieved. Furthermore the analyser will provide an essential tool for the determination of biodiesel.
