Clavis 2 QKD Platform Id3110

The Clavis2 system is a research platform for Quantum Key Distribution (QKD). It provides the basic framework required to implement a QKD protocol with fully controllable parameters. The Clavis2 system is the most flexible product of its kind on the market. It is focused towards research into quantum cryptography while other such equipment focuses on commercial applications. It is fully programmable thus providing the flexibility to diversify research output, extending it to general Quantum information Processes and Communication. It provides enhanced stability and interference contrast ensuring better accuracy in the results. As the equipment may be used as a stand-alone equipment of a base for further experimentation, graduating students will have a working system on which to develop theoretical aspects of QIPC while also having a stable base from which to investigate new technologies. Thus the equipment will streamline students' complete understanding of the field of quantum cryptography.
