BIAcore T200 System

The BIAcore T200 System is a computer (Windows XP-Windows 7 compatible software) controlled label-free biosenser system for detailed biomolecular interaction analysis using the phenomenon of surface plasmon resonance. The machine allows for the real-time acquisition and analysis of kinetic, affinity and thermodynamic interaction data. Briefly the, the machine allows for:

  1. Broad range of established immobilisation techniques (Amine, Biotin-Streptavidin, Thiol, Nickel-NTA)
  2. Automated collection of a broad range of kinetic on and off rates.
  3. Analysis of small molecular weight compounds with specific immobilised targets (no minimum molecular weight limit).
  4. Automated (up to 48 hours unattended operation) with an Autosampler unit capable of processing 96 and 384  well microplates, over a range of temperature (4 - 45°  C).
  5. Analysis of multiple immobilised ligands (or  different immobilisation levels of the same ligand) with inline reference subtraction (4 flow cells).
  6. Sample storage between 4 - 45°  C in a separate temperature controlled compartment.
  7. Inline degassing and handling of up to 4 sample running buffers.
  8. Recovery of bound samples from heterogenous samples for mass spectrometry analysis and identification.
  9. Experimental design via the control software wizard (with defined templates) as well as defined Method Builder for assay design.
  10. Analysis of data includes quality control tools (software based) to ensure high quality data.
