Conical Technologies Ion Trap System

Model:
Ion Trap System
Manufacturer:

This system is a combination of many different instruments jointly serving to trap and laser-cool ionized ytterbium atoms, for studies in quantum phenomena. The instruments include: an ultra high vacuum system with roughing pump, turbo pump, ion pump and titanium sublimation pump, four narrow-band diode lasers at 369g nm (Toptica), 398 nm(Moglabs), 638 nm (Toptica), and 935 nm (Toptica), optical chopper wheel (Thorlabs), balanced photodetectors (Newport), rf generator (Hittite), oscilloscopes (Tektronix), microwave generator (Rhode&Schwarz), arbitrary discharge lamps (Hamamatsu), Lockin amp (Zurich instruments), UV Phototube (Hamamatsu), stable frequency reference (Stanford Research Systems), FPGA system (National Instruments) and a large number of optics and electronics from various companies. A total of 28 instruments were purchased for this setup.
