MTS Systems Corporation ISTIR PDS FSW Peripheral Equipment ISTIR Process Development System (PDS)

The FSW Peripheral Equipment comprises of a split roller surface sensor; inspection camera and an integrated cooling tool holder. The roller module allows loads to be applied to individual sheets of butt weld and thereby ensure consistency during the welding / processing procedure. The camera is mounted directly to the weld head. This ensures that the process can be recorded for archival or viewing at a later stage.
