The equipment allows wet biological samples to be vitrified and microtomed, ready for visualisation in a transmission electron microscope. In this way samples suffer no loss of structural integrity, prior to subsequent processing.

Leica XL ST5010 Autosteiner

The Leica Autostainer XL ST5010 is a fully self-contained bench top unit with 18 reagent vessels, 1 integrated fan-forced oven, and 5 wash vessels with flow control valves, 10 slide racks - each holding 30 standard slides. It is menu-driven, user-friendly integrated control panel with 15 programs of 25 steps each, ability to run multiple programs together, vessel sequence, incubation time and agitation flexible.
