Andor iXon Camera

A charge coupled device (CCD) camera consisting of a back illuminated frame transfer chip with 1024x1024, 13-mm pixels. The camera is capable of frame transfer (allowing between 3.5 and 35 full frames per second, up to a few hundred frames per second with binning and sub framing), has high quantum efficiency (>90%) across the visible wavelength range, low dark current (<0.0001 electrons/pixel/sec) and low read noise (6 electrons/pixel in 1 MHz mode). This model is a specialised UV coating to allow increased quantum efficiently at low wavelengths.
